Chewbacca

Anyone that knows my husband, knows that he is a Star Wars geek. He loves all the movies and has seen them over and over and over. I suppose I should have resolved myself to the fact that Cole was also going to be a Star Wars fan (and an Indiana Hoosier fan, but Rob's still working on that with him). Cole has seen all, or parts, of each movie (with the exception of some scarier parts in the last film) and calls them "Chewbacca". I'm guessing Chewy is his favorite character, but even the movies that don't have Chewbacca in them are called "Chewbacca".

Rob's been looking forward to taking Cole to see The Clone Wars for weeks now. Cole has been to the movies once, with me, to see Kung Fu Panda and he did great, but Daddy didn't get to go. When I woke up yesterday morning I heard the faint sounds of light sabers and blasters coming from my computer. Sure enough, Rob had pulled up the Star Wars website and there was a trailer of the movie playing over and over. Fandango was also pulled up to check for movie times.

Rob took Cole to a midday showing of the movie and he did great. He sat all by himself (he sat on my lap the entire time during Kung Fu Panda), stuffed his face full of popcorn and watched the movie, mesmerized. Apparently, he also likes Nestle Crunch, but not Sno Caps. I guess popcorn and candy are OK for lunch every once in a while.

As for me, I got to go have a pedicure and I even got to go to Bed, Bath and Beyond, ALL BY MYSELF. Heaven, for all involved!

if you ever need to kick the boys (Rob) out of the house send him here. Christopher too is LOVES Star Wars and all things Star Wars... he is going to the movies today. Popcorn is very healthy... (ignore the butter) and chocolate contains a significant source of antioxidants... right?!

There is a God and it's name is being alone for an afternoon and getting a pedicure!!
We have survived night one without Moosie (Sammie woke me up this morning crying). I don't know if he was crying for joy or missing Moose. Sure is quiet around here though.

Awww, poor Sammie missing his buddy. Moose is going to do great at doggie boot camp!

Ahhhhh.... the times of having a few hours to yourself when you know your babies are in good hands. That is pure heaven. Son and his daddy bonding with each other. Life is great. Enjoy every second of it. Popcorn and candy for lunch is small payment for the bonding exeperience.

I am so glad that you had a relaxing time while Rob and Cole had a great time at the movies. You deserve it! You go girl...... Mima
