Facebook has killed my blog

Seriously, it has. I upload pictures there, I post Cole's witty commentary there, I post my own random thoughts there. It's fast, instant gratification. I need fast, I have an 8 month old and a 4 year old. Fast is good.

And, more people see it. Not everyone has time to read the blogs of everyone they know. Even I don't, as much as I want and try to. I have some super smart, witty and intelligent friends and they have good stuff to say. So I keep trying.

I miss it, though. I miss expanding on a random thought. I often look back at a status update and think, "I could have turned that into a blog post". But, it's out there now, and no one wants to read about it again, and in more detail. So, off I go to update my status once more, and play a little Cafe World. ;)

We Will Always Remember

Four Years Ago Today....

I became a Mommy. I thank God every day for that. Rob and I have often debated, given our fertility issues, who is the bigger miracle. The one conceived the "natural" way, or the one conceived with the help of science? I guess we'll never know for sure. I am sure that this little man is a constant source of joy, laughter, and love. Happy Birthday, my beautiful son, I am amazed and honored to be your Mommy.

For Jason

Who is a turd and refuses to get Facebook so I have to do everything twice:

The picture you are looking for is in there!

Little White Lies

I find that as Cole gets older, the more little white lies I tell. For example, tonight Cole noticed a dead bug outline in the glass of the ceiling fan in his room. "Mommy! Bug!", he says. Any and all insects must be eradicated immediately if they are spotted by Cole. Knowing this, and it being bedtime, and not wanting to drag out a ladder to rid the ceiling fan of the corpus delecti, I said, "That's not a bug, it's dirt, I'll clean it tomorrow". I'm not so sure he believed me, as he kept eyeing the fan suspiciously, but it must have been a sufficient enough explanation because he allowed me to finish tucking him in and kiss him good night. Now I will have to figure out how to clean the ceiling fan light without him seeing a bug carcass and only dirt, as he will almost certainly remember that it's there. Serves me right for being a "liar, liar, pants on fire".

Happy Easter!

My two kiddos this Easter morning. I love how they are looking at each other. Ellryn stares at Cole whenever he is near, and Cole just loves his baby sister. My favorite thing he says to her is, "good night, sweet dreams" when she is drifting off to sleep. I feel so very blessed this holiday.

Is There Anything Better Than This?
