A Beanie Update

This is more for grandparents than anyone else, so please excuse the indulgent nature of this post.

Babies go through huge changes in their first year of life. I have to catch my breath sometimes at how quickly it is all going by. The changes in my baby girl since Christmas are astounding. Her personality is really starting to shine through and I think I have a tough little cookie on my hands. Stubborn, quick to laugh, and she certainly doesn't take any crap from her big brother. If he's doing something she doesn't like, she'll screech her displeasure, LOUDLY. At least you always know where you stand.

She's eating mostly table food (except for vegetables, she won't eat anything but the baby food veggies), drinking from a sippy and has 10 (!) teeth. She's starting to point at objects (mostly our fish), will proudly show you a toy she is playing with, and attempt to brush or comb her hair with the proper tool. She even plays her own version of peek-a-boo that is quite adorable. She's cruising along furniture and has made a few unsuccessful attempts to stand on her own.

She's still not saying a whole lot, I get Mama mostly when she's mad or not feeling well. She does say Dada quite easily and has a word that seems to be for Cole (sounds kind of like gaga, but not exactly). She knows what side her bread is buttered on.

So, I'm getting ready to prepare for her first birthday, in less than 7 weeks. I cannot even believe how fast the last year has gone by and I'm looking forward to watching my baby girl grow up, but not too quickly.
